“ Heinen's is my main squeeze when it comes to a double tummy rubbing salad bar. When it comes down to it, it's not about the salad, it's about their authentic Bacon in thy Bits, but I pretend it's about the salad..while I pile my salad with bacon with my head on swivel for the manager. All bacon aside, after the greens I like to hit up the grilled corn, red onions, peas, alpha alpha sprouts, bacon bits, cheddar, and finally a slopping of croutons. In that order, unless there is an elderly patron in front in which case, I with briskly skip ahead. Heinen's has been around for 90 years and they aren't dilly dallying around with their prepared lettuce section no more!!! #truth #preach!!! Also, have gallons of milk here for $6.49, if you're into that. ”

I do my shopping at several stores around the city, including Heinen's, Whole Foods, Costco, Trader Joe's and ALDI. I have favorite items at each place and depending on how much time I have I will visit several stores to get everything I want. Heinen's is good for your staple pantry items, dairy, and local products. I rarely buy produce here because I think that's where they are MUCH more expensive than other stores. I appreciate some of the local produce they carry, but $4.49 for a cantaloupe? No way. They carry their Heinen's brand for a lot of pantry items, such as canned goods, and those are typically cheaper than other stores. ”
